Privacy policy

Terms of use and information about the service

Wgea.org a web service of the National Audit Office of Finland (NAOF). The NAOF is responsible for the maintenance and technical development of the service. The service is targeted at Supreme Audit Institutions, policymakers, public-sector actors, the media, and citizens. The main purpose of the service is to publish audit information and provide information about good management of public finances.

Contents in the web service are published in English.

We also collect customer feedback that can be sent to intosaiwgea@vtv.fi.

 

Cookies

The wgea.org/website uses a cookie banner. By selecting “Accept all”, the visitor to the website gives their consent to the use of cookies and plugins. The necessary cookies help to ensure the technical functioning of the website, and they are not used for other purposes.

The website also uses social plugins, which allow the site to display social media content, for example. The social plugins of the website can set cookies for their own services and according to their own principles. The website always uses a secure connection (https).

Visitor tracking cookies collect general statistical data for the development of the website. The tracking data are not used for marketing or disclosed outside the National Audit Office of Finland (NAOF). Only the NAOF can use the tracking data to develop its online communications.

The data collected in visitor tracking include, for example, the page through which the visitor entered the website, the downloaded pages, the time of page downloads, as well as the visitor’s web browser, operating system and Internet service provider. The visitor’s IP address is used to determine the organization for which the IP address is registered and the geographical location of the visitor. IP addresses are not saved in full, and they are not used to identify a single person.

The use of cookies and visitor tracking on our website have been implemented in cooperation with the publishing system provider and Hopkins Oy.

 

Processing of personal data and privacy statements

wgea.org processes the personal data you disclose to us with due care, in a lawful manner, and ensuring the protection of privacy.

The data file descriptions specify the data collected in the personal data files maintained by the NAOF, as well as the intended uses, lawful disclosure, and protection principles concerning such data. Furthermore, the data file descriptions contain information about the rights of the data subjects, as well as the relevant contact details.

Here, ‘personal data file’ means a set of personal data connected by a common use. The requirement for a data file description is set out in the General Data Protection Regulation.

The photos on the wgea.org website may not be used by anyone outside the INTOSAI WGEA, unless this has been specifically agreed with the INTOSAI WGEA Secretariat’s website editorial staff.
