WGEA Environmental and Climate Audit Clinic: A New Pilot Initiative for Audit Support
10.03.2025
We are excited to announce the launch of a new pilot initiative, the WGEA Audit Clinic, designed to provide easy access support for environmental and climate audits. This initiative aims to enhance the quality and effectiveness of environmental audits by facilitating knowledge sharing and capacity building.
What is the WGEA Audit Clinic?
The WGEA Audit Clinic offers auditors the opportunity to book a one-hour Teams slot during April and May to discuss issues with experienced environmental auditors. This simple arrangement allows auditors to receive guidance, advice, and possible solutions to their audit-related challenges.
How to Participate
Auditors can book a slot by filling out a booking form, providing their name, contact details, a brief description of the topic they need help with, the audit type, preferred date and time for the session, and preferred language. The secretariat will then match the auditor's needs with an expert and confirm the booking.
We have a diverse pool of expert consultants from various countries, including Brazil, Canada, Finland, New Zealand, Nigeria, Thailand, the UK and the US. These experts bring their experience in performance and compliance audits and are available to provide support in multiple languages.
Feedback and Evaluation
To ensure the effectiveness of the WGEA Audit Clinic, we will gather feedback from both auditors and experts through a survey. This feedback will help us assess the utilization of sessions, the effectiveness of the guidance provided, and any challenges faced. A summary report detailing the findings and recommendations will be presented at the WGEA Assembly in July.
Join us in this exciting new initiative and take advantage of the opportunity to enhance your environmental and climate audits.
