The Seminar Summaries special report from the 22nd INTOSAI WGEA Assembly, held 22-24 January 2024, is now available on our website. The special report is based on the first day of the Assembly, which focused on Arctic Environmental Change and Indigenous Knowledge. The report summarizes the main discussions and key messages from the meeting, supported by science and policy experts as well as auditors.
If you are interested in learning more about Indigenous knowledge, we also recommend reading a recent report written by participants of the University of Helsinki’s course ‘Geographies of Inequalities’. The course was held in collaboration between the University of Helsinki, the National Audit Office of Finland and the INTOSAI WGEA Secretariat. The course report is also available on the Publications section of our website.
The INTOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA) aims to increase the expertise in environmental auditing and to enhance environmental governance with high-quality contribution and visibility by both members of the Working Group and non–member SAIs. Currently the INTOSAI WGEA consists of 86 member countries.
